The Sanyuanli market in Beijing is currently hosting a three-week exhibition, the Yunnan Coffee Origin Season in China. This event features four key Yunnan coffee destinations: Menglian, Simao, Mangshi, and Ninger, offering consumers the opportunity to gain an insight into the Yunnan produce.

Throughout this event, the entire market is adorned with a plethora of captivating hand-drawn illustrations, both inside and outside the market.

This event is a joint venture between Grid Coffee and the emerging animation director, Hu Rui. As the director and art designer behind the second episode of the highly popular animated seriesYao-Chinese Folktales, Hu is once again creating an animated short film titledRed Deer Dance, drawing inspiration from Yunnan's Dai ethnic culture and art. It is set to premiere in November.

With coffee becoming a growing trend among young consumers, Yunnan, as one of the world's three major coffee-producing regions, has garnered substantial attention. Grid Coffee unveiled a new coffee bean at the exhibition, named "Yingge" (bird's song) sourced from the coffee-producing region of Pu'er, which is specifically from a small border town Fuyan.
